Azure Data Engineer

About the Role 

We are seeking a seasoned Technical Project Manager with a strong background in Business Intelligence (BI), Data Warehousing, Azure Cloud, and Informatica technologies, ideally within the Banking and Financial Services domain. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end project delivery, stakeholder management, and leading cross-functional technical teams to deliver data-driven solutions that support business growth and compliance. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage end-to-end BI / Data Warehouse / Cloud-based projects using MSBI, Azure, and Informatica technologies. 

• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables aligned with business objectives. 

• Drive data integration, migration, and reporting initiatives using Azure Data Services, Informatica, and the MSBI stack (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS). 

• Plan and execute project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, ensuring on-time delivery. 

• Manage multiple parallel projects in an Agile / Hybrid delivery model. 

• Define and enforce project governance, risk management, and change control processes. 

• Work closely with solution architects and developers to design scalable, secure, and high-performance BI solutions. 

• Track project progress through metrics, dashboards, and regular status reporting to senior management. 

• Collaborate with QA teams to ensure high-quality deliverables through testing and validation. 

• Manage stakeholder communication and act as the primary escalation point for project issues. 

• Lead a team of developers, analysts, and data engineers, providing technical guidance and mentorship.

Required Skills & Experience 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 

• 10–15 years of overall IT experience with at least 5 years in project or program management roles. 

• Hands-on technical experience in MSBI (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS), Informatica PowerCenter, and Azure Data Services (ADF, Synapse, Databricks, Data Lake). 

• Proven experience in end-to-end BI / Data Warehouse project delivery in Banking or Financial Services. 

• Strong knowledge of data integration, ETL, data modeling, and reporting frameworks. 

• Solid understanding of Agile / Scrum / DevOps methodologies. 

• Proficiency in project management tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, MS Project). 

• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills. 

• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making capabilities. 

Good to Have 

• Experience in cloud migration or data modernization projects. 

• Exposure to regulatory reporting or risk analytics in the banking domain. 

• PMP / PRINCE2 / Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification. 

• Microsoft or Informatica technical certifications.
