The Situation
A multinational provider of IT Services and Solutions headquartered in California, USA, was accessing their data from an on-premise data warehouse to generate Business Intelligence (BI) reports.
The legacy on-premise data warehouse functioned in a rather, traditional ecosystem where the lack of APIs was a major challenge.
Additionally, due to differences in the ecosystem, it became even more difficult to spell out rules, sequential activities and required outcomes for every data migration step.
What Data Semantics Implemented?
The Data Semantics team had to segregate and handle each element of the database manually for an error free transition. These DB elements had their own migration challenges, which were worked on individually by the team members.
Today, this global IT service provider can access all their data from Cloud to generate Business Intelligence (BI) reports in real-time.
The result was fast querying, better data management and governance, thus increasing the velocity of generating Business Intelligence (BI) reports.
